1. one place you volunteer (or would like to)? Why?
I would volunteer for the local shelter or the zoo, in hopes of getting a paid position there. Animals pwn. Or an alpaca farm!! But I don’t think there are any of those around here.

2. one book you’d like to see made into a movie? Why?
Oh wow. All my favorites are already made into a movie.
Maybe my own once it’s published!! Haha

3. one creature (living, extinct, or mythical) you’d like for a pet? Why?
Alpacas because they are so adorable!

4. one place on Earth you’d like to visit? Why?
All over the US

5. one talent or skill you’d like to develop? Why?
I want to learn to play the guitar, I actually ordered one this week. It would be a waste of money if I didn’t do anything with it.

I’m weeks behind on Blog Stalker. I’m very disappointed in myself, I still haven’t learned how to cope with deadlines. I suppose you can guess why I dropped out of college, right? Haha. Anyway, I will try to catch up on Blog Stalker later, but first I’ll update about knitting!

I’m still working on a second Hedera. The first one was finished back in August! Major second sock syndrome alert!

I’ve also finished the first sock of a variation on the Falling In Love pattern. I just removed the cables from the pattern because I hate doing those. Not only do I find them frustrating to work on, I have not yet mastered cables well enough to make them look pretty, which leads to more frustration and eventually to frogging, so I decided just to skip those. It’s my first finished toe-up sock. I’ve finished the first one a couple of weeks ago and I still haven’t started a second.

And I of course still owe you pictures of the Clapotis. I’m having a terrible time making any good pictures of it.
I guess I’ll just have to keep on trying.

Pattern Clapotis from Knitty Fall 2004
Alterations Knitted on 4mm needles; repeat sections 2 and 3 two more times than suggested
Yarn If I remember correctly, three and a half skeins of Lana Grossa Merino 2000 #438

Speaking of my beloved Lana Grossa Merino 2000, here is some more!

There are three balls of each color in my possession, #443 (the grey) and #532 (the blue). They were intended for Eunny Jang’s Entrelac Socks, but I’ve posponed that project and am now turning them into my second pair of..

Jaywalkers! IN RAVENCLAW COLORS! I didn’t even realize that untill after I purchased the yarn. The miracle is that this time I don’t seem to be having gauge issues at all, though I’m using the same needles and the same yarn.

Don’t let me stray from Harry Potter. (I’m reading the series again at the moment) I’m doing my first illusion knitting, namely the Dark Mark Illusion Scarf.

The “illusion” shows up surprizingly well on camera. See?

I know, I know, I’ve been slacking! I’m sorry. It’s just that I got a new job two weeks ago and I’m so worn out because of it. There’s so much to learn, so many people to get acquintend with, so many miles to travel to and from work, I feel like I’m going mad!
Besides that I also had some more internet connection issues. I had to sit with a technician on the phone for over an hour to set things straight. But it was worth it!
I have no idea how long I will manage at this job. I don’t like it at all. Once again I’m trying to figure out what I want in life, how I would like to make money. But I still can’t find a “grown-up” answer. Being an artist? An author? An actor? Lovely, but how many people can actually make a living out of it? If only I would find Mr. Richguy-Right.

Assignment 2 - Purse Guts!

I don’t have one, but three purses I use on a regular basis. Basically, I just move the essentials from bag to bag, depending on my mood and the number of things I need to carry around. I got all three of these bags at H&M years ago. They desperatly need replacement, because the white one is dirtier then any cleaning product can handle, there’s a cigarette hole in the burgundy-ish one and pretty much all zippers from the black one are broken/loose at the seams. Plus on both the burgundy and the black one the pleather broke.

The white bag is almost empty, all that is in there is an old movie ticket, 10 cents, my keys and my wallet. Let’s take a closer look at that last one!

Bank notes, change, business cards, health insurance card, bank card, bus ticket.. not really interesting, is it?

The burgundy bag contains a lot more.. because it’s bigger! There’s pens, a coupon I filled out to order something.. it cost 49,95 but I have no idea what it was. Another coupon for discount at some restaurant I never visited. Credit tickets for internet at the library, tissues, a lighter, deodorant, a toothbrush, hair bands, a sample of conditioner, gum, the purple things are instead menstrual cups, which I never really use, and a toy in the shape of a bottle of nailpolish that I got at McDonalds a long time ago.

Last stop; the black bag! More tissues. A couple of years ago my mom told me that a lady always keeps tissues in her bag and I want to be a lady! So yeah. Also a very dirty purse mirror, lip balm (x2), allergy pills, a note with instructions to some place in The Hague, cigarettes, another lighter, energy candies, sunglasses, trainticket, subway ticket, business card, movie ticket, tampons, my passport, five cents and my phone.

So yeah, that’s it! Nothing exciting, I’m sorry!

I’m hopping on the Blog Stalker bandwagon, a little late but in my defence, I had no internet connection at home when it started.

Assignment 1 - Who am I?

This is not who I am currently, but it is who I once was. Me and my dad somewhere at the end of ‘81 or very early ‘82. Awww! And for you’re information, that’s not a hole in the wall, it’s a hole in the picture! We were not that ghetto!

But back to the present. My name is Priscilla. I’m 25 years old, single and I live in the Netherlands… with my parents, I might add. I’ve never really felt the need to move out untill earlier this year. I’m starting a new job next week and hopefully I will be able to move out in the near future. I’m an only child. We also share our home with a dog, Kitty and a cat named Balou. They are incredibly spoilt. I’m also a college dropout (x3). I’m messy and chaotic. I’m an introvert and a procastinator. I’m a natural blonde but occasionally dye my hair dark brown.

I’m crafty. I crochet, make paper, make collages, write, draw, paint, but above all, I knit. I love reading as well, especially the romantic classics like those by Austen and the Brontë’s. But sometimes, I think it’s best to dwell on my own memories. And knit.
