I just got home from a lovely weekend over at the boy’s place to find a long letter at my desk, left there by my mother. She tells me that I’m a bad person. That I don’t clean my room as often as she would like, that I don’t take my work seriously enough and that I can’t possibly be a good girlfriend, simply because I don’t clean my room as often as she would like and because I don’t take my work seriously enough. Oh, the logic in that!
The room cleaning thing is debatable, I suppose. My room is not necessarily dirty, but I just don’t see the point in putting everything back in place when I know it will be removed from that place again to be used within the next couple of days. Yes, I’m messy. It’s a way to approach life in a much more relaxed way.
About the work thing.. on Saturday I was told that I’m one of the best on our team. So yeah. She just doesn’t understand my work so she should keep her snotty nose out of my business.
As for not being a good girlfriend, I beg to differ. I might not be as good at being a girlfriend as the boy is at being a boyfriend, but in the grand scheme of things, I think I’m quite above average. I hardly ever whine. I’m not jealous. I don’t care for flowers. If he wants to watch porn, I’m all for it. And the messy thing? He is just as messy as I am and we take much pleasure in being messy together.
In other words, I plan on moving in with him and we will be living in bliss and perfect harmony for ever and ever.
